Alison Goodwin

Alison Goodwin is a contemporary artist living and working in northern New England. Over the past twenty years Goodwin has created hundreds of works, each revealing the artist’s brilliant imagination and aesthetic.

Characterized by unruly, saturated, turbulent color, the rejection of natural vistas and skewed perspectives, Goodwin’s work forms a direct link to the revolutionary artists of century-ago Paris known as Fauvists. This group included artists such as Cézanne, Gauguin and Van Gogh, artists whose work was all about emotion and expression.
